Construction/Field Operations
Reports To: Site Supervisor/Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Potman plays a critical role on the construction site, responsible for managing and preparing construction materials, tools, and equipment. This position involves ensuring that all materials are ready for use by the construction crew, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with various tasks to support the efficiency and safety of the site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Preparation:
Prepare and mix construction materials such as cement, mortar, and concrete as required.
Ensure that materials are delivered to the correct locations on the site in a timely manner.

Tool and Equipment Management:
Organize and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean, functional, and readily available for use.
Perform regular checks on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools and equipment to the Site Supervisor.

Site Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all materials and tools are stored properly.
Assist in the setup and dismantling of temporary structures, such as scaffolding and work platforms.
Manage the disposal of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.

Support Duties:
Assist other team members with various tasks as needed, including carrying materials, setting up equipment, and moving supplies around the site.
Provide support during construction activities by ensuring that workers have the materials and tools they need.

Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Site Supervisor immediately.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

Experience:
Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment is an asset.

Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of construction processes and safety practices.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Other:
A valid driver's license is required.

Working Conditions:
The Potman will work on construction sites, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
The position may require working in various weather conditions and on different types of terrain.
The role may involve early morning starts, extended hours, and weekend work, depending on project deadlines and requirements.
